Exit Light, Enter Night! – PSVANE Summit 6SN7 & 300B Review and Comparison

Hi everyone, and welcome back. Today, I’ll review a couple of high-end, current-production vacuum tubes, specifically, a pair of PSVANE Summit 6SN7 double triodes used as driver tubes, and a pair of Summit 300B direct-heated triodes used as power tubes.
I have lots, and I mean LOTS of 6SN7 driver tubes that I’ve been collecting for years, ranging from new old stock (NOS) to modern production models, so it’ll be fun to compare these with what I already have on hand, and the same goes for the 300B tubes.
Now, these aren’t your typical current-production tubes; they’re summit-level models (hence the name), and they cost a pretty penny if you need a matched pair. The Summit 6SN7s sell for approximately $340 per pair, while the Summit 300Bs are priced at roughly $760 per pair, placing them among the most expensive current-production tubes available. Without further ado, let’s check these out in the usual fashion.
