As promised, today we’re taking a look at a digital-to-digital converter, or DDC for short. This is the Gustard U26, easily one of the biggest DDCs I’ve had around here, and probably the best one I’ve tested so far.
It shares the same footprint as Gustard’s R26, X26, and A26 lineup, so stacking them together is a nice option if that’s your thing. But don’t worry, the U26 isn’t locked into the Gustard ecosystem. You can use it with just about any DAC, and the improvements are anything but subtle.
With a price tag of 999 USD or EUR, let’s try it out with a bunch of DACs and see how it performs.
