Astell&Kern embraces 4.4mm and LDAC codecs with their newest KANN Alpha

Astell&Kern just announced their newest portable music player in their KANN line-up.

KANN Alpha is a huge departure from everything they did up until this point. Its their first unit that adopts the super popular 4.4mm balanced connection and it also their first device that supports Bluetooth 5.0 and LDAC codecs. Of course the usual 2.5 mm balanced and 3.5mm jacks are still present and the enormous power delivery of 12Vrms is present as well.

KANN Alpha is also a world-first DAP that is using the newest ES9068AS DAC chips from ESS Technologies, that are carrying in the same silicon a full hardware MQA renderer. Finally an Astell&Kern device that deserves its name!
