In the last two years, we saw an explosion of wireless and wired streamers. From affordable to high-end material, you could easily find something that would meet your needs and budget requirements while offering tons of features. If we look at FiiO, they came up with two unusual-looking devices that offered so many things at an affordable price. The R7 and R9 didn’t occupy much desktop space, and for a headphone enthusiast, those could be the last units you would ever need, rocking not only a streamer but also a DAC and a headphone amplifier section. However, we still hoped for a dedicated streamer that would look like a standard-sized HiFi component, and it seems that FiiO responded to our requests by releasing the S15, which offers gobs of features at a price that makes sense and it’s the right time to check it out!
