5 PROS & 4 CONS – Topping B200 Mono Amplifiers Review

Hey folks, welcome back to another Soundnews review. Today, I’m going to test a pair of mono amplifiers that I’ve been waiting for over six months for the stocks to replenish. As I understand, they sell so quickly that getting a chance to try them was quite a challenge. These amplifiers are called Topping B200, and they are mono-only units. A single unit costs $599, but please note that for stereo use, you’ll need two units, which doubles the price. You can also use them in a home theater setup, but in that case, you would need at least five units, and the total cost can add up pretty fast.
Before we proceed with the review, I want to mention that the first-generation Topping LA90, which I reviewed a couple of years ago, wasn’t exactly what I expected. It felt rushed, and it was unable to drive my previous loudspeakers. I believe it had the longest con list of any review I’ve published. However, I’m open-minded, and perhaps Topping has fixed the biggest issues I had with it, so let’s check these out.
