Dear melomaniac, 1982 was a great year for humanity, and I am not saying this because it was the year I was born, but because Fleetwood Mac were active and in their most successful form: Christine McVie, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and, of course, Stevie Nicks. This is when they toured the United States, hosting concerts in 32 cities, this being the Mirage Tour, and it was a great moment to be alive and see them on stage.
A concert with extracts from the Mirage Tour was already released in 1984 on VHS, but never as a music disc. But this week this happened and finally we have an audio release called the “Mirage Tour ‘82” comprised of two discs.
The audio quality is not the best, but the chance to turn back time and listen to this amazing event is more than worth it. Songs like The Chain, Don’t Stop, Dreams and Rhiannon are on the discs, and you can hear them in a special rendition, besides the band you will be able to hear also a frenetic crowd of relaxed people from 1982.
For me, as a definite and ultimate Fleetwood Mac fan this release is a blast, so, I want to share this moment with you, let’s rejoice and listen together:
