Aune AR5000 & Yuki Review – Doubling the Fun!
Aune Audio has been a familiar name around here. We all know them for their stellar DACs, DAC/amp combos, and headphone amps. But guess what? They’ve decided to branch out! It seems they’re dipping their toes into the world of headphones, offering not just one, but two options – a pair of in-ear monitors (IEMs) and a set of full-sized headphones designed to work seamlessly with their electronics and with any other headphone jack you might encounter.
There are a few reasons why I like Aune Audio. First, I dig their approach to releases. They take their time, always focusing on quality over quantity, and never pressure us into constant upgrades. Second, their price points are on point. They consistently manage to deliver impressive technicalities without sacrificing a natural and organic sound presentation.
Today, we’re getting our hands on (or should I say ears on?) their brand-new AR5000 headphones. But that’s not all! Joining the party is this adorable little fellow called Yuki. Don’t let its size fool you – this fully balanced DAC/Amp combo packs a punch in a tiny dongle form factor. The Yuki comes in at a cool $169, while the AR5000 will set you back $299. Let’s dive into what these two can do!
