Headphones AND Speakers? Cayin Soul 170HA In-Depth Review

Today, I’m finally dropping a review that’s been slow-cooking for well over a year. And if you’ve been around here for a while, you already know why I don’t rush things. I don’t believe in rushed Hi-Fi reviews that skim the surface and leave out the details that actually matter. I don’t like gear that hasn’t been tested properly, and I don’t like reviews that don’t tell you the whole story. Proper HiFi stories take time: weeks, months, and sometimes, yes… even a year to get right.

Today, we’re talking about the Cayin Soul 170HA, an unapologetically overkill headphone amplifier and a genuinely impressive stereo integrated amplifier rolled into one. This is a serious piece of hardware, coming in at around €8,000 here locally, or roughly $7,500 across the pond.

Before we go any further, full disclosure: this is not a review sample. It’s not a loaner. No strings attached. This is a unit I bought with my own money after first hearing it at last year’s Munich High End Show, where it left such an impression that I ended up giving it our Best of Show award.
